About Our Color Match Guarantee

All TouchUpDirect paints are made-to-order using the manufacturer’s original formula. In most cases, this means a perfect match straight out of the box. Occasionally, however, a color may not look quite right once applied.

Why does this happen?

• Automakers often produce paint variants—slight differences in shade caused by different factories, paint batches, or production years.

That’s where our Color Match Guarantee comes in. If your paint doesn’t match, we’ll help diagnose the issue and send a courtesy replacement—and if it still isn’t right, you’ll get a full refund.

Motorcycles and TouchUpDirect Custom Formulas

Not all motorcycles have manufacturer color codes, and many motorcycle touch up paints are created using TouchUpDirect custom formulas. This means there are usually no paint variants for motorcycles. If the manufacturer's color paint code for your motorcycle is not available, the best way to find the correct color is by selecting the Make, Year, and Model on the paint finder. If a motorcycle paint color does not match and there is no alternative formula available, we will refund your order in full.

Exceptions: The Color Match Guarantee does not apply to custom-formulated colors. If the color you need is not listed on our website and we create a custom paint match for you, we cannot guarantee an exact match. These colors are mixed specifically for your request and may not be eligible for a replacement under the Color Match Guarantee.

To Initiate a Claim

1. First, submit the form on this page so our Support Team can get started reviewing your claim!
   1. This helps us confirm that the color code you ordered matches the actual color code of your vehicle. If it does, we'll ask you to send a photo of you using your test card so that we can see the results side-by-side. Please follow these instructions for the proper use of your test card.
2. Our paint technicians will diagnose the issue and either issue a replacement, or give you tips for reapplication.
