Preparing to Repaint Your Vehicle (Pen, Brush, and Combo)Updated 3 months ago

Mistakes happen during the application, and it's perfectly normal to attempt your paint repair more than once before you get it correct.

Clearcoat Not Applied - Waterborne Paint

It's very easy to remove paint from your vehicle if clearcoat has not already been applied. Just grab a cup of water and a clean rag, and wipe off the colorcoat – it's that easy.

The clearcoat (also known as "topcoat") is what protects your paint from the elements, and if it hasn't already been applied – it will be very easy to remove.
